Directly after her resurrection, Kikyou still harbored a lot of anger towards Inuyasha for what had happened fifty years ago. Yes, when she was first resurrected, Kikyou hated Inuyasha and wanted to drag him to hell with her. The thing that Kikyou-haters can't seem to figure out is that she changed. Inuyasha and Kagome even had a conversation about how her attitude towards them had changed through the course of the series.
Kagome: Inuyasha, I...was tested on Mount Azusa by an illusion of Kikyou...
Inuyasha: Illusion ?
Kagome: Yes, an illusion. An illusion created by my heart. It was...a very frightening and unpleasent Kikyou.
Inuyasha: .......
Kagome: But that's how Kikyou was before. Right after she was resurrected with a body of bone and grave soil, and hated me and wanted to kill you.
Inuyasha: Kagome... Kikyou isn't like she was then anymore.
Kagome: Yeah...I know that. It just meant that that's how I saw her.
Kikyou changed the direction of her hatred from Inuyasha and Kagome to Naraku. She realized that it was him who had wronged her, not Inuyasha. She still loved Inuyasha just as she had fifty years prior, but she knew that there was no way they'd ever go back to the way they were before. She and Inuyasha's love never died, but they kept their distance as Inuyasha's new love for Kagome bloomed. Inuyasha ended up being in love with two women at once.
