The Spellings

Kikyou: There's always some confusion one which way is the correct way to spell her name: Kikyou, Kikyô or Kikyo. It's all three. Kikyô and Kikyou are the same thing. The ô is equal to "ou." People who just don't feel like typing in the alt code all the time generally spell it that way. I'm one of the people who uses Kikyou. Kikyo is also correct. It's just the North American dub's way of spelling it. They dumped the "u," or also known as the stress mark in several names. Those being Kikyou, Seshoumaru, Shippou and Kouga. Kikyo is correct if you go by the dub. End note? They're all correct.

Inuyasha: Inuyasha is spelled four different ways. Inuyasha, InuYasha, Inu Yasha and Inu-Yasha. I'm not quite sure where InuYasha and Inu-Yasha came from...but they aren't spelled like that in neither the Japanese version nor the English version. O.o Inuyasha is the Japanese name and Inu Yasha is the dubbed name. I can take a few guesses where Inu-Yasha came from... Inuyasha translates to demon dog. I'm sure someone who knows Japanese well just thought to put it there since you can also write it as demon-dog. I can also only imagine that InuYasha came from people not noticing the space between Inu and Yasha in the dubbed title. I first did that actually. I did that with Dragonball Z's dub, also. XD I've been into that series for almost four years and I just noticed about a month ago that the dub spells it Dragon Ball Z. It's a simple mistake with Inu Yasha also. I can only guess... I believe that Inuyasha, Inu Yasha and Inu-Yasha are all correct. InuYasha baffles me though. Why the capital Y?
