The Collision
Inuyasha and Kikyou met each other by suprise. Kikyou had been fighting off a youkai that was wanting the Shikon no Tama while Inuyasha happened to be running to that forest to hide during the night of the new moon. Inuyasha hid behind a tree and watched the the woman, amazed that she could kill a youkai. She turned around and glanced at him and they had a small discussion with her asking if he was after the Shikon no Tama. Inuyasha asked her what the Shikon no Tama was. Kikyou just responded that it was better he didn't know.
Kikyou walked off, but because of her weakness from her battle, and the rain pooring down on her, she fainted. Inuyasha (now in his human form) jumped down from the tree and inspected her until the villagers came for her (at which time he ran away).
Their second encounter was a discussion about the Shikon no Tama. Kikyou figured out that Inuyasha was a hanyou and must be seeking the Shikon no Tama to be accepted into the world and taunted him a bit for it. Inuyasha told her that he would become a great youkai and would slay her first after he become one.
Inuyasha then tried to get the Shikon no Tama from Kikyou, but she pinned him up to a tree and told him to not come near her if he didn't want to be killed. He just yelled at her that he wasn't through with her and that he could find her by her ugly stench (come up with a better insult, Inuyasha-chan. >.>).
Kikyou and Inuyasha's third encounter was much like their second encounter. The only difference was that Kikyou learned Inuyasha's name and stopped calling him "hanyou." XD
Their fourth encounter was at the river bank. Kikyou thanked him for saving Kaede from a centipede youkai (that happened earlier in the episode) and Inuyasha did what you would expect him to do. He did the "Pheh" act. Kikyou told him that they were a lot alike in the fact that they both couldn't be normal or be accepted. Inuyasha for being a hanyou, Kikyou for being the protector and purifyer of the Shikon no Tama.
Before Kikyou left, Inuyasha told her to come back the next day because he had a gift for her. Kikyou then told Inuyasha she also had a gift for him.
The next day Inuyasha brought a sea shell with lipstick inside for Kikyou. He told her that it was one of the things that his mother, Izayoi, left him. Kikyou asked him what the other thing was and he said it was the Robe of the Fire Rat. Kikyou apologized for piercing it with her arrows many times.
Inuyasha asked for his gift and Kikyou looked at where it was (It was a subdoing neckless. Instead of using "osuwari" like Kagome, she was going to use "beloved."), changed her mind about putting Inuyasha through that and told him she forgot it.
Then came the oh-so-famous boat scene where they kiss. They agreed to meet the next day to make Inuyasha a human and get rid of the Shikon no Tama.
